Below those suggested links, you will find some titles for movies that you might want to check out when you have a spare moment. These suggestions represent a sample of what you can find on these various topics.
INTRODUCTION TO FILMS ON DEMAND:
Films on Demand is a cloud-based video streaming service of over 50,000 high quality educational videos and segments licensed from long established video distributor Films for the Humanities and Sciences and other award-winning producers such as PBS, California Newsreel, HBO Documentaries, TED Talks, BBC Learning and many more. Students will find general interest and curricular-based content with captioning, interactive searchable transcripts and formatted citations in many styles. Faculty can access content to introduce new topics, reinforce lecture content and embed persistent and authenticated video clips into Canvas. Access is through McCarthy Library database page and requires NVC login credentials. Ask a librarian for assistance. There many films, including comedies and dramas, that present both the triumphs and tribulations of people in the LGBTQ community. The small sample below has movies that cater to many different tastes, and the inclusion of them on this list in no way represents an endorsement or criticism of those movies. We will leave that up to the viewer to decide. The Internet Movie Database page for each film is linked to the title so that you may find more information on that particular movie.
