If you have items in course reserves that are not needed this semester, please pick them up at the library at your earliest convenience.
What is course reserves?
Course reserves is a collection of physical resources that are used in current NVC courses. Students can borrow them from the library at no cost for limited periods of time.
To add an item to Course Reserves:
Please email the library at libraryservices@napavalley.edu or come into the library and speak to a staff member at the circulation desk.
Loan Periods:
If there is one copy: only available for use in the library for 2 hours (can be renewed if no one is waiting).
If there are multiple copies: additional copies can be made available for 2-hour, 24-hour, or 7 day loans.
Purchasing Books:
If you need the library to purchase the book, please contact us at libraryservices@napavalley.edu. Purchase decisions are based on need and funding, which is very limited. Please try to get a copy from your department or the publisher before asking the library to purchase.
Electronic Textbooks:
The library is unable to purchase electronic copies of textbooks. Please see our Open Resources Guide for information on finding and selecting free electronic textbooks.
