Racism: Resources for Understanding: Recommended Books: Non-fiction

This guide provides resources that may help facilitate a discussion on the subject of racism.

Introduction

There are many books that explore the topic of racism in the United States.  The lists that you find on this page are by no means exhaustive, but rather provide a sample of texts.  One list contains texts that you can find either in the stacks or via the E-books database, and the other list contains titles of recommended books that are not currently in the stacks but come highly recommended.
