From Films on Demand:

Christmas and a Christmas Carol.

This program traces the story of Christmas, from its origins in Nordic and Roman mid-winter celebrations, through the advance of Christianity, and up to the present day. It pays particular attention to the small book that came out at the end of 1843 and to the moment in time that Charles Dickens became involved in the progression of the mid-winter festivity and changed its course forever.

From Kanopy:

A Christmas Carol: The Musical.

Kelsey Grammer stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in this musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novella. Set in Victorian London, the story follows the miserly Scrooge as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. These spectral visits reveal the impact of his greed and lead him on a journey of redemption. The film features a star-studded cast including Jesse L. Martin, Jane Krakowski, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jason Alexander.

The Chosen.

Set in the Brooklyn of the 1940s, the film elucidates the friendship between two young Jews of differing factions. Danny is Hassidic, while Reuven is a Zionist. Though separated ideologically, the boys find a common bond through their love of stickball.

Based on a novel by Chaim Potok, The Chosen has become an annual Hannukah-season TV attraction in many cities; years after its release, the film served as the basis for a short-lived Broadway musical.

Animal Tales of Christmas Magic.

Enchanting stories unfold in ANIMAL TALES OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC where festive wonders come to life. Delve into these heartwarming and modern tales as animals embark on spellbinding journeys from France to Japan to the Far North and its northern lights, spreading joy and generosity. Let the poetry captivate your heart and transport you to a world where Christmas magic knows no bounds.
