Evidence Based Practice integrates the best evidence with a practitioner’s clinical expertise and also considers the patient’s preferences and values. Once steps one, two, three and four have been conducted (as in previous modules), the next step is to apply the knowledge into practice.

We suggest that you take each piece of the evidence from your information search and ask the question, "How specifically will this fit with my client? What can I do to make it more suitable to my client? As you work with a variety of clients, it is important to take into consideration these varying perspectives" (Bloom, Fischer and Orme, 2009).
